BLM returns to work near Bundy ranch as Cliven and sons await trial

WHY DOESNT THE BLM GO AFTER THESE REAL TERRORIST INSTEAD OF MURDERING RANCHERS???
“Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has ‘spotters’ located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations

BLM returns to work near Bundy ranch as Cliven and sons await trial

First Published      Updated 51 minutes ago

News release » The agency aims to repair communications, roads and assess the damage to to cultural-heritage sites.
With southeast Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy behind bars as he and his four sons await trial, the Bureau of Land Management announced Friday that it plans to resume work in the Gold Butte region for the first time since an armed standoff near Bundy's Bunkerville ranch in spring 2014.
The BLM said in a news release Friday that "[w]ith the support of the community, BLM officials have determined that the conditions are now right to resume work. BLM archaeologists, law enforcement officers and local agency leadership have all visited the area over the past month."
The release says BLM Director Neil Kornze was among a group that visited the popular Whitney Pockets area — on the eastern edge of Gold Butte next to Virgin Mountain — where some of Gold Butte's distinctive red sandstone formations had been vandalized and a felled Joshua tree had caught the attention of Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, who shared a photo on the Senate floor. The group saw evidence of overgrazing and trampling by cattle, the release said.
Reid has called for President Barack Obama to use his executive powers to designate the Gold Butte area a national monument.
Bundy's 1,000-odd cattle have been trespassing throughout hundreds of thousands of acres since he refused to abide by federal administration in 1993. When the BLM gathered about 400 of his cattle at an impound site in April 2014, Bundy and hundreds of protesters — some of them armed — demanded that the cattle be returned. The BLM stood down.
Bundy was arrested for his role in that standoff in Portland, Ore., this February, when he flew to visit sons Ammon and Ryan, who are indicted for their participation in a 41-day standoff at a federal wildlife refuge in eastern Oregon.
All told, three dozen people have been indicted by the federal government in relation to the standoffs.
In Cliven Bundy's absence, Bundy Ranch has been managed by his wife, Carol, with the assistance of his 18-year-old son, Arden.
The BLM news release said that among its plans for the Gold Butte region are to assess damage to cultural heritage sites, partner with the National Park Service to make repairs to communications infrastructure, coordinate with Clark County for road maintenance and establish a system to help area visitors better map their location and destinations.
Future projects will target the spread of noxious weeds and the threat of wildfire, the release said.
The release makes no mention of a repeat attempt to gather Bundy's trespassing cattle. Previously, Utah companies have won bids for both the gather and sale, but the BLM's Southern Nevada office reiterated last month that it had no active plans or requests for proposal at that time. As of Friday afternoon, the office had yet to return another request for comment.
Greta Anderson — deputy director of the Western Watersheds Project, one of nine conservationist groups that in May sent a letter to Kornze urging the removal of Bundy's cattle — said that while Friday's release is good news, the BLM remains "20 years late" in removing cattle that endanger the habitat of the desert tortoise.
"There's still a really important piece of making Gold Butte ecologically healthy again," Anderson said.
Members of the Bundy family were not immediately available for comment Friday, and a BLM spokesman said Kornze would not available for further comment

The President is obsessed

Doug,

Once again President Obama’s administration is renewing his obsession with eliminating the basic rights of law-abiding Americans.

It’s clear that restricting your Second Amendment liberties will remain President Obama’s focus during the final seven months of his time in office.

And he’s proven time and again that he will use any means necessary—legal or not—to attack the Constitution. Whether it be using lawless executive actions, shady organizations, or even the United Nations, the President has made his intentions known.

That’s why we need to help Constitutionalists in Texas this election year, and that’s why I need your help to turn out the vote up and down the ballot.

Will you make your contribution to our campaign today?

It’s hard to fathom, but President Obama is more concerned with restricting your rights than addressing the cartels importing violence into our country.

If the Obama Administration wants to confiscate guns, I have a suggestion: Go down to the Texas border, and put an end to the gun trafficking, drug trafficking, and human trafficking of the cartels!

Doug, out-of-state gun control activists have funded organizations like Battleground Texas in an effort to defeat me and our Constitutional rights.

But Texans have always had the strength to make the right choices to protect our freedoms. We understand that we cannot trample the Constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens, including our Second Amendment rights. These rights and freedoms are what make us America.

You may remember the brave Texans who stood in defiance of a government that tried to disarm them at the Battle of Gonzales, igniting the Texas Revolution: “COME AND TAKE IT!”

I ask that you join with me. Let’s work together to protect America and protect our rights. Let’s win at the ballot box this year to make sure that Washington, D.C. doesn’t consolidate power and destroy our liberties.

If you can help, please add your name to the list of Texans stepping up to defend our rights today.
Contribute to our campaign today to help me draw a line in the sand.

The president wants a fight over our gun rights, so let’s give him one.

Sincerely,

Greg Abbott

'Islamic refugee' caught in U.S. with gas-pipeline plans

Mideastern woman apprehended in New Mexico

In an eerie development on concerns about Islamic terrorism, New Mexico police have apprehended an illegal Middle Eastern woman in possession of the region’s gas pipeline plans.
According to Judicial Watch, authorities in Luna County – which borders Mexico – pulled the woman over during a traffic stop. The woman was described as an “Islamic refugee.” After the plans were found, county authorities alerted the U.S. Border Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces, or JTTF, which has been deployed to the area to investigate.
The pipeline plans include the Deming region, situated about 35 miles north of the Mexican border and with a population of about 15,000. Deming is considered one of the “10 worst places” to live in New Mexico due to drug cartels, gangs, unemployment, poverty and crime.
The free WND special report “ISIS Rising,” by Middle East expert and former Department of Defense analyst Michael Maloof, will answer your questions about the jihadist army threatening the West.
The constant smuggling across the porous southern border extends beyond drugs. Organizations such as Judicial Watch have documented how Mexican drug traffickers also smuggle Islamic terrorists into the U.S. via remote farm roads or rural airfields. An internal Texas Department of Public Safety report leaked by the media in 2014 documents several members of known Islamist terrorist organizations have been apprehended crossing the southern border in recent years.
According to information forwarded to Judicial Watch by a high-ranking Homeland Security official in a border state, Mexican drug traffickers help Islamic terrorists stationed in Mexico cross into the United States to explore targets for future attacks. Such jihadists crossing back and forth across the border include a Kuwaiti named Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir, an ISIS operative who lives in the Mexican state of Chihuahua not far from El Paso, Texas. Khabir has trained hundreds of al-Qaida fighters in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen and has lived in Mexico for more than a year. He now concentrates on training men to fight in an ISIS base near Ciudad Juárez, situated in the U.S.-Mexico border region.
An article appeared in an Italian newspaper in which Khabir brags how easy it is to stake out U.S. targets. He says the border region is so open that he “could get in with a handful of men, and kill thousands of people in Texas or in Arizona in the space of a few hours.”
The threat is so considerable that Foreign Affairs Secretary Claudia Ruiz, Mexico’s top diplomat, says in the Italian article she doesn’t understand why the Obama administration and the U.S. media are “culpably neglecting this phenomenon,” adding that “this new wave of fundamentalism could have nasty surprises in store for the United States.”
In December 2015, Judicial Watch broke a story in which five Middle Eastern men were apprehended crossing the border with stainless steel cylinders in backpacks, one of numerous arrests or apprehensions of Middle Eastern men on the border. It is not reported what the cylinders contained.
“House of War: Islam’s Jihad Against the World” conveys what the West needs to know about Islam and the violent, expansionary ideology that seeks the subjugation and destruction of other faiths, cultures and systems of government
Mexican authorities have confirmed ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas in an area known has “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The same Mexican source confirmed another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States.
During a joint operation in April 2015, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.
The Anapra region is controlled by Mexican drug cartels, making it “an extremely dangerous and hostile operating environment” for federal police and Mexican army authorities.
Judicial Watch notes, “Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has ‘spotters’ located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations. ISIS is conducting reconnaissance of regional universities; the White Sands Missile Range; government facilities in Alamogordo, NM; Ft. Bliss; and the electrical power facilities near Anapra and Chaparral, NM.”

This Former Dem Presidential Candidate Just Endorsed Trump Over Hillary

Donald Trump may be having some difficulties getting all the RINOs and GOP elites to fall in line and support him in this election, but there is at least one former Democratic presidential candidate who would rather see Trump in the White House over his own party’s presumptive nominee.
PRNTLY reports:
On Morning Joe this week, Democratic legend Jim Webb said he’d vote for Trump before he would vote for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton..
A military veteran and former Senator himself, Webb likely could not overlook the decision by Hillary Clinton to ignore the repeated calls for extra security by Ambassador Stevens in Libya weeks before the fatal attack on the consulate in Benghazi.
Hillary admitted error in the attack during investigation proceedings led by Senator Rand Paul and Trey Gowdy, but brushes off calls to be held accountable or step down, citing that security analysts were to blame for the failure of security.
Jim Webb is certainly not the first  Democrat to endorse Trump; reportedly hundreds of thousands of blue collar democrats poll in favor of the Donald. But he is certainly the highest profile Democratic pol to come out with an endorsement of Trump over Hillary.
Webb, a former Marine raised in a military family, understands that the needs of veterans and military families are not supported by the current administration, nor would they be under a Hillary Clinton administration.
What do you think it says about Hillary if she can inspire democrats to vote for Trump?

Oath Keepers Pledges to Fight ISIS in U.S.

Oath Keepers Pledges to Fight ISIS in U.S.

Oath Keepers Pledges to Fight ISIS in U.S.

(This is an audio recording of my side of an interview with a journalist on my response to the Orlando terror attack, taped Sunday afternoon 6/12/2016)
As the Founder and National President of Oath Keepers, I hereby issue the following statement and  a CALL TO ACTION to our membership, in the wake of the horrific Islamic/ISIS terrorist attack that took place in the early morning hours of Sunday June 12th, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and family members of this nation’s most deadly terror attack since 9/11. This senseless attack against our citizens, and the LGBT community specifically, is proof beyond all doubt that ISIS has now brought their murderous, radical Islamic hatred for freedom, and their total war on Western Civilization, to American soil. The terrorist himself proclaimed his devotion to ISIS and ISIS has officially claimed responsibility.
It has always been the mission of our Oath Keepers members to defend the constitutionally guaranteed rights of every citizen of this nation. It is our mission to train and advise them how to defend themselves and their loved ones. We Oath Keepers have declared ourselves to be “Guardians of the Republic” and have adopted “Not On Our Watch” as our official motto.
In response to this act of war by ISIS here at home, we are now honor bound to fulfill those promises and to honor our oaths by standing physically, shoulder-to-shoulder with our local peace officers and with fellow veterans and patriots, in direct defense of our communities against ISIS and their sympathizers and supporters. We must also fulfill our pledge to train our fellow Americans to FIGHT against this evil that aims to wipe liberty from the face of the earth.
I will say what Obama refuses to say: The horrific attack on the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando was an ISIS Islamic terror attack on America, an attack on Western Civilization itself, and an attack on our core principles of individual liberty (the inalienable right of the people to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” as Jefferson wrote in our Declaration of Independence in 1776).
There will be more.  As both Navy SEAL veteran Matt Bracken and I have been predicting for well over a year, we are now in the beginning stages of an Islamist “Tet Offensive” type wave of terror attacks on U.S. soil that will dwarf anything we have seen since 9/11. Both of us have also argued that this wave of Islamist terror attacks will be part of a “perfect storm” of intentionally orchestrated “Cloward-Piven” chaos -inducing economic devastation, social and political disruption and violence, and the use of intentionally undefended borders and mass illegal and “refugee” immigration as weapons of destabilization (and to provide cover for and facilitate more violence and terrorism by multiple proxy agents of the elites, including the cartels, gangs, well funded Marxist and racist agitators – such as La Raza and Black Lives Matter – and radical Islamist cells and individuals).
I encourage you all to read Bracken’s excellent piece “Tet Take Two: Islam’s 2016 European Offensive” on what is now clearly happening in Europe and compare it to what we are now seeing here in the U.S. as well.
I also encourage you to watch my speech from the 2015 New York Oath Keepers Banquet where I predicted this “perfect storm”:
As you watch it, reflect not only on the San Bernardino attack and this horrific ISIS attack in Orlando, but also on the Soros funded street thug and communist agitator violence we saw in Ferguson, Missouri Baltimore, Maryland; San Jose, California;  and their most recently stated goals of shutting down both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions coming this July.
It really sucks to be right about predicting bad things happening to our own country. Only a fool will fail to see that what is happening is not an accident; but all according to plan.  As for radical Islam itself, Bracken has correctly pointed out the unholy alliance between the Sharia loving, Caliphate worshiping, woman and homosexual hating, 13th Century minded Islamacists and the Western Civilization hating Marxists in both Europe and in the U.S.  Just one example of this alliance is demonstrated through Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, who clearly views his to radical Muslim as a more effective way to advance his Marxist ideals.
I submit that this strange alliance goes all the way up to the White House, and, as expected, the blood dancing domestic Enemy-In-Chief and his ghoulish comrades such as Chuck “the Schmuck” Schumer, wasted no time in attacking your right to bear arms after this horrific ISIS Islamist terrorist attack on U.S. soil.   While refusing to even call this an act of Islamist terrorism, they insist that the problem is our guns, and the solution is using Orwellian watch lists, that any of you can be listed on by some faceless agency minion. With no due process you can be stripped of your right your right to bear arms in many states.  Terrorists and other violent thugs don’t obey gun laws.   The fully automatic AK-47 rifles used in the Paris attack were completely illegal and banned in France, but that didn’t stop them being smuggled in by the terrorists along with explosives.
As “Navy Jack” said in his excellent piece, the only real answer is for you, the American people, to step up and defend yourselves and each other. The only people who could have saved the lives of the 50 Americans in the Pulse Club in Orlando where those 50 Americans themselves. The lone uniformed officer serving as security for the club was the first one shot as the terrorist came through the door.  Sadly, that shows the vulnerability of uniformed, easily identified security. The same thing occurred in the Charlie Hebdo attack.
What is needed in such an attack is the unseen, concealed carry, armed American who the terrorist does not even know is there until hot lead is sent his way. An armed patriot who is an intended victim can ambush the terrorist and “shoot him to the ground” as firearms trainer Gabe Suarez puts it. It ends with a bullet to the terrorist’s head to make sure he is shut down and cannot fire another shot or detonate an explosive vest.
A layered security protocol, combining overt, official security deterrents and hidden, armed “first-responders” among the intended victims, is the right answer. And that means armed staff and patrons of any club, church, mall, or other “soft targets” of terrorist attacks (as well as armed teachers and school staff, just as is done in Israel).
Above all, it requires a change in mindset, such that the American people fight back and attack the attackers.  They need to know that even when unarmed, they can take down a shooter.
In the wake of the Oregon college shooting, Oath Keepers committed to teaching college students how to counter-attack against an active shooter.  We are now forming College Oath Keepers student groups on campuses across the nation, for that express purpose and to also stand up for free speech on campus against Marxist attempts to shut down opposing views with force and intimidation.
Similarly, we will train any other American or group of Americans who are targeted by Islamist terrorists, be they churches, Synagogues, school staff, or LGBT groups or nightclubs.   We stand for the right of all Americans to defend themselves, and we stand united against all terrorists who would murder them.
Just as we guarded military recruiters (disarmed by idiotic government policies) after the Chattanooga Islamist terror attack, we will offer our protection to any and all Americans now targeted by Islamist terrorists so long as we have the resources to do so.
That is the whole point of our Community Preparedness Team (CPT) Program. Our highly trained and experienced military and police members are here to serve as direct protection for our communities against terrorists and, even more critically, to serve as training cadre to teach the American people to protect themselves.
I call on all Oath Keepers members and chapters to offer their protection, advice, and training to any and all in their community who are targeted by Islamist terrorists. Show them the way toward effective defense against the wave of ISIS attacks that we know are coming, teach them to defend themselves, and lead by example. Step up and Honor your oath by defending all Americans from these evil Islamist enemies of liberty and enemies of Western civilization. We of course support the moderate Muslims like Maajid Nawaz, author of Radical: My Journey out of Extreme Islam, that condemn these acts of terror and are attempting to reform Islam from the inside.
Today I call on our national membership to directly assist local police as well as those members of the LGBT community who may continue to live in fear by the threat of future attacks, and any other potential “soft” target in our community such as churches, synagogues, schools, etc.
We are offering our organization’s full resources/personnel which  includes our many former federal, state and local law enforcement and military personnel to deploy to Florida or any other area, nationwide, where citizens feel a threat may exist.
With Community Preparedness Teams (CPTs), chapters and members in every state, we are willing to provide private protection to families of victims, organizers of any high-risk events.  Club and bar owners as well as any other groups or individuals who feel their lives may be in danger from the threat of future attacks by radical Islamic groups or other domestic terrorists.
We are all Americans and any attack on an American citizen on our soil by Terrorists against any Americans exercising their most basic rights as guaranteed by the Constitution we swore to defend, will be countered by Oath Keepers to the utmost extent of our power.
Once again, our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by this heinous attack.
To request our assistance or join our efforts, please email us using our contact form and put either “request for help” or “offer of assistance” for “Oath Keepers Operation Guardian” in the subject line.
For the Republic,

New Gun Review: Masterpiece Arms 930DMG

New Gun Review: Masterpiece Arms 930DMG, the Perfect Home Defense Gun?

MPA 930DMG (12)
The author heavily customized his MPA Defender 930DMG 9mm pistol. With the side-folding Sig brace and other accessories installed, he has a compact, maneuverable, and accurate home defense gun.
The MasterPiece Arms MPA Defender 930DMG is an Ingram-style firearm with a machined alloy grip contoured to accept easy-to-find Glock magazines. Chambered for 9mm Luger, the 930DMG is sold in a handgun configuration and it can be reconfigured as a short-barreled rifle but it is still handy in pistol form.
I wasn’t familiar with MasterPiece Arms until I read David Higginbotham’s review of the MPA 30DMG. At the time, I was looking for a dedicated home defense gun and it struck a chord — compact, customizable, rugged, dependable and surprisingly accurate. While David reviewed the 5.5-inch barrel version, I picked up the 3.5-inch MPA 930DMG, proceeded to add the accessories I wanted and ended up with a dynamite home defense system.
MPA 930DMG (13)
the MPA 930DMG packs a lot of 9mm power into a compact package, and the shown angled foregrip on the handguard gives you enhanced control over the firearm.

The Gun

Selecting the right gun can be an exercise in compromise. For concealed carry, you sacrifice firepower and accuracy for compact size and light weight. For a hunting firearm, you sacrifice light weight and compact size for power and accuracy. The purpose determines the compromises you make to reach your final choice.
The MPA 930DMG is obviously not a good candidate for concealed carry or the best option for hunting. Fortunately, guns are affordable enough today that we don’t have to settle. The guns I’d been considering for dedicated home defense were in the $1,000 range before accessories, which is one of the reasons I was still on the lookout. My budget had to include optics and other extras, so when I learned after reading David’s article that the MSRP on the 930DMG was $679 I was ready to buy.
Considering this is going to be a home defense gun, the bigger size and weight of the MPA Defender aren’t negatives here. The larger frame allows me to accessorize it for ease of use, accuracy, and comfort. What does comfort have to do with it? If you’ve ever shot a short-barreled 9mm indoors in the dark, you’ll know what I mean. It’s loud. The muzzle flash also makes short work of your night vision. The 930DMG, even with a suppressor attached, is still quite compact. Moving around indoors where there are walls, doors, lamps, and other obstructions, a compact weapon can be an advantage.
The 930DMG is both rugged and accurate. It’s a simple blowback design with a substantial receiver to handle the recoiling mass of the bolt and heavy spring required to hold the bolt closed under pressure. The weight of the firearm helps with felt recoil and the blowback action means it has a fixed barrel that contributes to accuracy.
What sets this series apart from MPA’s earlier guns is the angled and contoured grip that accepts standard Glock 17 mags. The lower receiver is machined aluminum instead of stamped steel. This makes it lighter, more ergonomic and in my opinion better-looking. MasterPiece also includes adjustable front and rear iron sights in addition to the flattop Picatinny rail for optics. These guns are available with Cerakote finishes in several colors. This one is in go-with-any-wardrobe black, although I also like the Tungsten Gray. Very cool. So let’s get into the details of how I accessorized this pistol for my needs.
MPA 930DMG
The un-accessorized MasterPiece Arms 930DMG.
MPA 930DMG (2)
These holes are for the installation of the handguard.
MPA 930DMG (3)
The large hole is for installation of a sling swivel. The three smaller holes are tapped to accept the screws for the optional folding buffer tube assembly.
MPA 930DMG (4)
Installation of the handguard is much easier with the help of a long ball-end hex wrench. The barrel extension mounts to the barrel to protect your hand from hot gasses.
MPA 930DMG (5)
There is plenty of rail space to attach accessories, including the grip panels, laser pointer and red dot sight with the extended forearm installed. However, be sure not to put any sort of vertical foregrip on there as it will make it an “AOW”.
MPA 930DMG (6)
A Lasermax laser adorns the 12 o’clock spot on the handguard. A Burris FastFire III is on the flattop rail. The two side rail covers are from Damage Industries.

Specs

  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel : 3.5 inches, 1/2-28 threads
  • Sling mount: Quick-detach single-point unit
  • Magazine: Glock pattern, one 17-round mag included
  • Height: 6.25 inches
  • Width: 2.75 inches including bolt handle
  • Receiver width: 1.375 inches
  • Length: 8.5 inches
  • Weight: 47 ounces/2.9 pounds unloaded

Complete Build

  • MPA 930DMG: MSRP $679 ($630 street)
  • Handguard with angled foregrip and barrel extension: $80
  • Damage Industries rail covers: $10
  • MPA folding buffer tube assembly: $90
  • SIG SB15 arm brace: $140
  • LaserMax laser sight: $129
  • Burris FastFire III red dot sight: $226
  • Total Cost: $1,305
For an in-depth look at the MPA system check out our earlier review. Here I’d like to focus on how to accessorize the 930DMG into the ultimate home-defense gun, and I don’t mean pumps and a scarf to match. My plan is to attach a suppressor make the gun safer and easier to shoot indoors.
While I wait for the suppressor paperwork to clear, I have installed the MPA barrel extension and short handguard adapter. These parts are available directly from the MPA website and ship fast.
The handguard attaches directly to the drilled and tapped receiver. I’d recommend a long, ball-end hex wrench to install the rail as the screws are a little off to the side.
There are four rails on the handguard and I put all of them to work. The bottom rail bears a Strike Industries Angled Foregrip which is included with the handguard assembly. Angled foregrips are not specially regulated and may be installed on a pistol without any tax stamps.
The interior diameter of the handguard is 1.375 inches across, wide enough to accommodate many 9mm suppressors. If it won’t clear the can I’ll find some way to make it work.
For comfort, I installed Damage Industries short grip panels on the sides along with a Streamlight weapon light on the right side.
The top rail sports a LaserMax laser pointer and Burris FastFire III red dot optic on the receiver. Remember, the purpose is for home defense and when you’re indoors, lasers really shine (pun intended) and I’m a belt and suspenders kind of guy.
Should the laser fail, or should I not want to announce my exact location with the laser, the FastFire gives me an excellent secondary way to get on target fast. Installing the laser on the left side rail is another option which would allow you to use the iron sights if not a red dot scope or other optic.
To accommodate the flattop rail, the upper uses a side-mounted charging handle. The charger is non-reciprocating so you don’t have to worry about the knob interfering with your grip or stance.
MasterPiece Arms sells a folding AR-style pistol buffer tube which can be mounted to the back of the receiver for use with a stabilizing brace — or in the case of an NFA-regulated short-barreled rifle, a rifle buffer tube and stock, but that’s even more paperwork. There’s also a hole in the back of the receiver for a single point sling mount, but I prefer the folding arm brace approach.
MPA 930DMG (21)
A selection of ammo used in testing. All fed without a problem except for the SIG Sauer load. SIG’s hollow point has an unusually wide opening in the tip and the gun didn’t like it.
MPA 930DMG (17)
This is a typical 5-shot group from 7 yards shooting offhand, just a hair over an inch.
MPA 930DMG (18)
A 17-round mag dump using only the laser sight. The group is to the left because I hadn’t sighted it in completely.
MPA 930DMG (19)
10 rounds from 7 yards firing without the SIG brace, with just the buffer tube held against my side.
MPA 930DMG (20)
A 3-shot group using only Burris FastFire III offhand from 7 yards. This was without using the buffer assembly or brace.
MPA 930DMG (14)
Canting the 930DMG inward lines up your eye with the FastFire III red dot. This is a stable position for one-handed shooting.

At the Range

I tested the pistol with several types of ammunition including Hornady 115-grain Critical Defense FTX, 124-grain XTP and 135-grain Critical Duty self-defense loads, SIG 124-grain jacked hollow point rounds, Magtech 124-grain lead round-nose rounds and PMC 115-grain full metal jacket ammo. This covers a broad spectrum of bullet shapes and styles to test ammo feeding reliability with a wide range of ammo types.
The three Hornady loads are all hollow points, though Critical Defense and Critical Duty loads use a plastic flex tip which fills the hollow point to aid feeding and expansion. The SIG ammo has an extra wide hollow point, which can hang up on some feed ramps and chamber cuts, while the full metal jacket and lead round nose of the PMC and Magtech ammo are smooth.
The 930DMG handled everything but the SIG ammo. The edge of the wide hollow point got hung up on the feed ramp and caused failures to feed after the first round, every round. That’s a shame because I like the consistency and accuracy of Sig’s Elite Performance loads However, it’s not unusual for a gun to prefer certain ammo. The fact that everything else performed well means you have good options for a dependable gun right out of the box.

Impressions

This is a very easy gun to shoot accurately, especially with the MPA accessories, laser, and red dot sight. Tom McHale, another of our editors, recently wrote the 5 Best Guns for Bad Shooters recognizing that we don’t all get the opportunity to practice as often as we should. The MPA 930DMG, outfitted as this project gun is, would certainly meet most of his criteria.
The SIG brace and ergonomic pistol grip make one-handed shooting as easy as putting the dot on target and pressing the trigger. The trigger has a short take-up then breaks cleanly at an average of just about 4.25 pounds. I found the steadiest one-handed position with the SIG brace was to hold the gun pressed against my body with my elbow bent 90 degrees, using just the laser sight to get on target.
If you’re reacting to an emergency where you don’t have time to strap into the Sig brace, or where you just have a bare buffer tube, the same position works well with the brace/buffer tube trapped between your elbow and side. Provided your weak side hand is free, gripping the angled brace with your thumb wrapped around the top of the handguard makes it even steadier.
MPA 930DMG (22)
You can see the safety just above and in front of the trigger. I have average size hands and didn’t have a problem operating it with my trigger finger. It just requires a little training.
MPA 930DMG (16)
With a tactical light mounted on the right rail, you can easily operate the light with the middle finger of your support hand while operating the laser with your thumb.
MPA 930DMG (8)
You can operate the bolt and trigger with the buffer tube assembly folded, but it takes a little effort.
MPA 930DMG (9)
The buffer tube folds to the left only. It has a solid lockup when open.

New from Masterpiece Arms for 2015 is the MPA 930 DMG. The DMG is a evolution of sorts developed from the Military Armament Corporation model 10 SMG of the 1970’s. The DMG is vastly improved, much lighter, smaller, more ergonomic, and (of course) semiautomatic. The DMG is the latest and greatest offering in the Master Piece Arms lineup, and is slowly changing the way we perceive MAC style pistols.
The DMG has an all new aircraft grade aluminum lower receiver that accepts Glock magazines as well as decal grip panels. The rear of the receiver has some nice touches to improve utility. For those who want to carry a DMG, MPA has added an integral QD mount for the attachment of a single point sling. The receiver is also pre-drilled and tapped for the use of stock adapters. A pistol like this is just begging for a side folding stock or SB-15 arm brace.
The DMG is built with a 3.5 inch barrel that is threaded to 1/2×28 and ships with a large diameter thread protector. The DMG utilizes a left side-cocking handle, and has an integral 1913 rail if you would want to use a red dot optic. The iron sights on this pistol are adjustable, and in comparison to a MAC pistol, they are a vast improvement.
The gun is available in Black, Burnt Bronze, Flat Dark Earth, Gunmetal, and Tungsten Cerakote finishes and will be shipping in mid February at a retail price of $679.
We’ve got one inbound for testing, so we’ll put it through the full treatment. It looks like a great fun-gun. The jury is still out on the semiautomatic action. For carrying, I mean. Not for goofing off on the range. We’ll see, though, and I bet we’ll have fun doing it.
The large charging handle will make charging easy.

It has functional sights, too, though this isn't a target pistol.

The Cerakote looks good on the gun--a nice break from the traditional black.
